In the two essays that make up this monograph Nasr explores the state of Muslim–Christian relations in the early twenty-first century and sets out the foundations for genuine inter-civilizational dialogue. He argues that only by rediscovering a shared “sacred science” grounded in metaphysical first principles can the two faiths contribute to a mutual civilizational renewal and heal the spiritual fractures of our age.
